Events – Patient Engagement Platform
Engaging People in Health Research | 2017 Speaker Series
The goal for this Speaker Series is to showcase patient and researcher partnership and to provide an example of current patient engagement research project work happening in Alberta.
Speaker Series event 3
Helle Tees and Nicole Olivier co-presented at event 3 of the PE Platform’s Engaging People in Health Research | 2017 Speaker Series.
Helle and Nicole worked together on the Patient Working Group as part of the BedMed Project – a high blood pressure research project where researchers and patients came together as a collective to co-create how the project rolled out.
The co-presentation was organized by the PE Platform and hosted at the University of Alberta on November 30th, 2017. The co-presentation was presented to researchers and patients.
The recorded webinar is here (requires Adobe Connect).
Speaker Series event 2
Peter Oxland and Dr. Thomas Stelfox co-presented at event two of the PE Platform’s Engaging People in Health Research | 2017 Speaker Series.
Peter and Tom have worked together extensively on the Critical Care Strategic Clinical Network and shared their collaborative work and how family members can influence the research process, which will hopefully influence change in health care. They also discussed the benefits and challenges of patient engagement in research.
The co-presentation was organized by the PE Platform and hosted at the University of Calgary (by the O’Brien Institute) on June 16, 2017.
The co-presentation had a very engaged in-person audience (comprising both patients and researchers), and was recorded as a webinar (requires Adobe Connect).
